Bath Salts for Rest, Relaxation, and Sleep

One of the best ways to calm after a busy day is with a warm bath accompanied by some carefully selected essential oils.  When we consider blending oils into a bath salt, we should plan to use about 5-6 drops of oil per bath (less for children).  Feel free to mix single use bath salts or mix a large mason jar full for several days in a row.   A carrier oil or soap will help protect and moisturize the skin through this process also.  Some of my favorites to use in baths are:  Castille Soap, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, or Sunflower Oil.  Also, remember to smell the oils that you plan to put in your bath.  When we are using essential oils to relax and calm after a busy day, it’s important that we like the smell.  Additionally, remember that high quality, pure oils are the only essential oils that have therapeutic properties.  Make sure that you know your source!
